PHARMACY PRACTICE - REGULAR TERM APPOINTMENT, MEMORIAL UNIVERSITY OF NEWFOUNDLAND, SCHOOL OF PHARMACY

Applications are invited for a Regular Term appointment in the School of Pharmacy, for a three year period. The appointment will be at the level appropriate to the qualifications of the successful candidate (Lecturer or Assistant Professor). The successful applicants must have an undergraduate and graduate degree (Master’s, PhD, or PharmD) in a discipline related to the teaching requirements of the position. A background in a health discipline is required. Primary responsibilities will include undergraduate teaching in pathophysiology, physical assessment, health promotion/disease prevention, pharmacology and immunology. Teaching experience would be a distinct asset. Successful candidates will be expected to participate in academic service and research.

The School of Pharmacy is located in the Health Sciences Centre on the campus of Memorial University. This facility also houses the Faculty of Medicine and School of Nursing, the Health Sciences Library, the General Hospital, and the Children’s Health and Rehabilitation Centre. This integrated complex has allowed close working relationships, in both research and teaching, among the faculties of Medicine, Nursing and Pharmacy.

The School of Pharmacy is accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs. Research strengths include drug delivery, drug targeting, drug discovery and development and inter-professional education. The School encourages collaborative research with Canadian, American and globally-recognized universities and research institutes.
